The Southern Magnolia (Magnolia grandiflora) is a broad-leafed evergreen tree native to the southeastern United States. It is also the state tree of Mississippi. You will find the larges specimens of this species on our campus in front of the school building. There are also a couple saplings on the grounds, one is near the playground, the other is along the Nature Trail. To learn more about this species click here.
