Northern Catalpa

The Northern Catalpa (Catalpa speciosa) is a deciduous tree native to a small area in the central United States along the Ohio River and its confluence with the Mississippi River.  It is now fairly common throughout the eastern United States though many people consider it to be a weed.  Our Catalpa tree is planted near one of our softball fields behind the gym.  To learn more about this species click here.
